Getting around South Boston
South Boston is served by the Red Line at Broadway and Andrew stations, and by the Silver Line’s Waterfront routes, which run through a dedicated bus tunnel connecting South Station to the Seaport District and Logan Airport.
Local bus routes run along East and West Broadway. Check the MBTA for the current schedule and the stop closest to your stay.
Getting to and from the airport
Logan Airport is typically about 20–35 minutes via the free Silver Line SL1 bus (board at South Station) plus a short connection, or 10–20 minutes by car or rideshare through the Ted Williams Tunnel outside heavy traffic.
